In today's world, large urban centers are growing at nearly twice the rate than the opening decade of the 21st century. The reasons are the same as always, bigger cities offer more economic and social opportunities which include entertainment options that aren't as readily available in smaller hubs. However the downsides are higher cost of living, pollution, traffic and smaller square footage in homes are all part of the trade-offs.

To assist you in finding the perfect city for you and your family, WalletHub compared 62 of the largest U.S. cities. They researched quality of public school systems, job opportunities, property taxes, etc.

Guess who placed 2nd for the Best Big Cities to Live In? Seattle! Virginia Beach, VA placed first with a total score of 63.41 and Seattle not far behind with a score of 62.58. At the bottom of the list included Memphis, TN and Detroit, MI with scores as low as 35.53.
