The VDB Team enjoyed a weekend filled with events supporting our local and national charities. A Susan G Komen Three Day Breast Cancer Walk Fundraising Dinner and Eastside Academy's 5k Race for Eastside Academy.
THREE DAY BREAST CANCER WALK
Susan G Komen's Three Day Walk is a three day, 60 mile walk that supports the fight of breast cancer. Susan G Komen's goal is to reduce breast cancer deaths by 50% in the United States by 2026- to make that goal a reality, they need support. They have events in seven cities- Atlanta, Dallas, Michigan, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle and Twin Cities. EASTSIDE ACADEMY
Eastside Academy is a local program to "inspire change in the lives of at-risk youth through high school education, counseling, recovery, housing, and life skills programs in a Christ-centered environment," as stated in their mission statement. Since being founded in 2001, they have expanded to two campuses to help serve more students and the local community. Their school program is unlike any other and positively affected the lives of many children around the Puget Sound. Visit their webpage to read about their impact and how you can support them!
