SEATTLE SIMILARITIES WITH HISTORIC GERMAN PORT

Officials from Seattle city government and the Port of Seattle have noticed the similarities between our growing city and the historic city of Germany's most northern port. Hamburg is a striving city with a long and rich history of a thriving port of trade, aerospace manufacturing as well as a successful tech city. Seattle officials are using this to their advantage and visited Hamburg in December to research how to best utilize Hamburg's strengths for Seattle's future advantages. They are also looking to the success of Hamburg's public programs that have helped shape and keep the city afloat.
